Help the Christy Sims Foundation reach our goal of $25k so we can roll out our Yellow Tulips and Manhood 101 programs, designed to help prevent intimate partner violence by providing education and outreach to young adults. Every little bit counts--YOU can make a difference and #changelives.
Christy Sims had recently received her Master’s degree in counseling and was preparing for her graduation ceremony when she was assaulted by her boyfriend with industrial grade sulfuric acid. She was burned over 20% of her body and nearly died.
Christy spent two months in a coma and has endured multiple reconstructive surgeries. The Christy Sims Foundation was founded by Christy and a group of supporters to help in the fight against domestic violence and prevent this from happening to anyone else.
Christy’s attacker was finally brought to justice July 17, 2015. It is our mission that one day we will live in a world free from domestic violence, and your support will help us provide education and outreach to young people to prevent it before it even happens.
Our vision is to become the premier resource in support of the prevention of domestic violence through programs aimed at giving young men and young women the tools they need to build their self-esteem and engage in healthy relationships.
No financial donation is too small, and your donations are tax-deductible. With every penny, you will help prevent the spread of domestic violence. We also value donations of time or goods. Please contact us for more information.
