Who We Are

The Christy Sims Foundation was founded in response to a tragic incident of domestic violence upon its founder, Christy Tucker Sims. On April 28, 2013, Christy was assaulted by her boyfriend with industrial grade sulfuric acid, which burned her over 20% of her body and sent her into a coma for two months.

Since the attack, Christy has been on a long and arduous journey to rebuild her life and the lives of her two children. The foundation, though originally formed to support her on that journey, is now dedicated to the mission of preventing domestic violence and serving as a resource for victims to help them find the support they need.

Our Mission

To help prevent domestic violence in the community by providing education and awareness programs, and to provide support and referral resources to survivors of domestic violence to help them rebuild their lives.

Our Vision

To become Georgia’s most renowned foundation in support of the prevention of domestic violence, and to serve as the primary referral source for individuals who need access to worthy organizations dedicated to the causes of stopping domestic violence, raising awareness and aiding its victims.

Your Support

Your financial support, your resources and your time will help us achieve our mission to provide programs that help prevent the spread of domestic violence. Financial donations are tax-deductible, and all are appreciated—no donation is too small. Learn more about donating to the foundation.
