This is a nine-week campaign to bring my story to more people in order to teach more about the different aspects of domestic violence. I also hope to raise funds to help cover the cost of my medical needs, specifically a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthcare.philips.com\/main\/homehealth\/sleep\/totalfacemask\/default.wpd\">Total Contact face mask<\/a> which will help my skin to heal as I go through more surgeries.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;\">I&#8217;ll admit it is much easier for me to ask you to share my story in order to help others. Right now, as I type this, there are people out there about to enter a relationship with a violent person. There&#8217;s someone living their own horror story right now who thinks things might get better if they just &#8220;try harder&#8221;. And, there are plenty of &nbsp;people out there who may not be on the verge of an unhealthy relationship but they&#8217;re on the track to one. Please share my story. You just might reach one of these people before it&#8217;s too late.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As I said in my video, I am not used to asking for help. I am a counselor and I&#8217;m much more comfortable giving support than receiving it. The fact of the matter is, though, I need it and, most importantly to me, my children need it. They need a mom who can be there, be truly present for them, rather than consumed by worry.<\/p>\n<p>I realize so many of you have given and I can never, ever properly articulate how much it has meant to me. I understand, though, that as giving and supportive as you are, you can&#8217;t always donate more to help me out. I get it. I really, really do.That is why I am asking you to <strong>please share my story with everyone you know<\/strong> and ask them to give. Ask them to make a difference. I can assure you, every little bit helps and I am thankful for every penny.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next few months, I&#8217;ve got a lot planned including my thirteenth surgery, speaking engagements, and even a few fun online projects for this campaign that I hope you&#8217;ll join me in.&nbsp;And, because I will never be able to say it enough,<strong> thank you<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>#sharechristysstory<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you for visiting my blog and thank you for your continued support &#8211;
